Magic & Spells
Fire, lightning, and mana — the most polished combat system in One More Delve.
Magic is the easiest combat system to learn in One More Delve and, according to multiple review sources, the most polished. There is no gesture system — assign a spell to each hand and push forward to cast. This simplicity makes magic an excellent choice for new players and a valuable burst tool for veterans.
How Magic Works
Equip one spell per hand from the armory. To cast:
- Hold the upper trigger on your controller.
- Point your hand at the target.
- Thrust your hand forward to release the spell.
That is it. No complex gestures, no timing window beyond mana availability.
Spell Types
Fire Spells
Delivers a concentrated blast of flame. Effective at close to mid-range. Fire spells tend toward sustained damage output.
Lightning Spells
Delivers an immediate burst of electrical energy. Lightning is generally higher burst damage than fire at the cost of slightly higher mana consumption per cast.
Mana System
Mana is a shared pool across both hands. Each spell cast consumes a portion of the pool. When empty, you must wait for passive regeneration before casting again. There are no mana potions.
Mana Management Tips
- Open boss fights by dumping your full mana pool immediately.
- Use melee to deal damage while mana regenerates.
- Do not waste mana on low-health enemies — melee is more mana-efficient.
