Dungeon 3 Boss
The Undead Lich — magic resistance, summoning phases, and full strategy.
The Dungeon 3 boss, the Undead Lich, introduces magical ranged attacks and add management to One More Delve’s boss fights. This is the first boss where simply having good melee gear is not enough — you must also manage positioning, magic, and adds simultaneously.

Attack Patterns
Magic Bolt
A single projectile that travels in a straight line. Low damage individually but the Lich casts it rapidly in sequences of 3-5 bolts.
- Counter: Sidestep sideways during the wind-up. The bolts travel in a straight line and are easy to dodge if you are moving perpendicular to their trajectory.
Shockwave Burst
The Lich raises its staff and creates a circular shockwave around itself. This attack cannot be dodged through positioning — you must block with a shield or be far enough away.
- Counter: When you see the Lich raise its staff, immediately back away or raise your shield. The shockwave has approximately 3 meters of radius.
Summon Undead
At 75%, 50%, and 25% health, the Lich pauses combat and summons 2-3 skeleton warriors. These adds are low health but will interrupt your attacks and stack on top of the Lich’s damage.
- Counter: Immediately kill the skeletons before resuming damage on the Lich. Do not attempt to DPS through the adds — the skeletons will interrupt your swings.
Staff Strike
When players get too close, the Lich will strike with its staff as a melee weapon. This attack is telegraphed with a distinct visual effect (the staff glows) before the swing.
- Counter: Back away when you see the staff glow. The attack is slower than the Lich’s magic attacks and easy to dodge.
Strategy
Recommended Loadout
Sword and shield with fire spell on one hand and lightning spell on the other. Fire spells deal bonus damage to undead-type enemies. The shield is essential for blocking shockwave bursts.
Phase 1 (100-75% Health)
Open with your full mana burst. Prioritize fire spell — it deals bonus damage to the Lich. Once mana is depleted, close to melee range and attack only when the Lich is not casting.
Phase 2 (75-50% Health)
The first summon triggers at 75%. Immediately disengage from the Lich, kill all skeletons, then resume. Do not ignore skeletons — they will interrupt your combos and cause phasing by blocking your weapon mid-swing.
Phase 3 (50-25% Health)
The Lich becomes more aggressive. Magic bolt sequences become longer and the shockwave burst triggers more frequently. Maintain shield discipline and only attack during the recovery window after the Lich finishes a combo.
Phase 4 (25-0% Health)
Final phase. Summons at 25% are accompanied by an enrage — the Lich attacks faster. Focus fire without overcommitting. In co-op, have one player dedicated to add control throughout.
Loot
The Dungeon 3 boss chest guarantees an epic-tier weapon or armor blueprint. This is the first boss that can drop gear with the +3 damage tier.
