Phases3 (Ground, Aerial, Enrage)

Phase 1: Ground Combat

The Dragon Lord begins on the ground with melee-focused attacks:

Claw Swipe

A two-hit horizontal claw swipe. The second hit comes immediately after the first. Block or dodge both.

Tail Sweep

The dragon sweeps its tail in a 180-degree arc behind itself. If you are behind the boss, you will be caught by this attack.

Fire Breath

The Dragon Lord rears back and breathes fire in a cone in front of itself. This attack has a long wind-up — when you see the dragon rear back, immediately move perpendicular to its facing.

Phase 2: Aerial Combat

At 60% health, the Dragon Lord takes to the air. It can only be damaged by ranged weapons (bow, Flintlock pistol) or spells during this phase.

Aerial Fire Breath

While flying, the Dragon Lord breathes fire while circling the arena. Movement is circular — find the safe zone behind a pillar or obstacle and wait for the breath pattern to complete.

Dive Bomb

The dragon dives toward a player position. Telegraphed by a targeting beam on the ground. Move away from the beam before the dive completes.

Landing Window

After approximately 20 seconds of aerial combat, the dragon lands briefly. This is the only window to deal melee damage during Phase 2.

Phase 3: Enrage (Below 30% Health)

Both ground and aerial phases become faster and more aggressive. Fire zone duration increases. The Dragon Lord enters a permanent enrage state — no third phase transition occurs.

Strategy

Loadout

Sword and shield with Flintlock pistol as your ranged option. The pistol’s immediate trigger response makes it superior to the bow during the aerial phase.

Coordination (Co-op)

  • Tank draws the Dragon Lord’s attention during ground phases.
  • Ranged players deal damage during aerial phases.
  • Mage handles add control and provides mana support.
  • All three players must be aware of fire zone placement at all times.

Solo (Normal Difficulty)

The fight is winnable solo with endgame gear. Accept that the aerial phase will take a long time — your Flintlock pistol is your primary damage source during this phase. Do not attempt to tank the final phase without full health and at least two potions.

Loot

Nightmare difficulty guarantees a Legendary-tier blueprint from the Dragon Lord. This is the rarest loot in the game.
