Crystal Mining

Find, mine, and use the crafting material that powers your progression.

Last updated:

Crystals are the primary crafting material in One More Delve. They glow on dungeon walls and must be physically mined with your pickaxe. Crystal scarcity is the most common progression bottleneck, especially in early-game dungeon runs.

Where to Find Crystals

Crystals appear on dungeon walls throughout all five dungeon levels. They glow with a distinctive color that stands out against dark dungeon environments. They are most commonly found:

  • At intersections between rooms
  • Along the outer edges of rooms
  • Near dead ends and alcoves
  • Occasionally in plain sight in the middle of large rooms

How to Mine Crystals

  1. Reach for your pickaxe on your belt.
  2. Grip the trigger to pick it up.
  3. Physically swing at the crystal — it takes multiple swings to break.
  4. The crystal drops crafting materials when fully mined.

Do not run past unmined crystals. Each dungeon run should be a full clear of both enemies and mining opportunities.

Crystal Types and Rarity

Higher dungeon levels contain rarer crystal types that are required for higher-tier crafting recipes. Dungeon 1 and 2 crystals are common and sufficient for early upgrades. Dungeon 3 and beyond introduce rarer crystal tiers.

Farming Strategy

The most efficient way to farm crystals:

  1. Run Dungeon 1 or 2 repeatedly, fully mining every crystal you see.
  2. Do not rush to higher dungeons without upgrading — lower dungeons are faster clears and still yield crafting materials.
  3. In co-op, split up to cover more ground. One player can mine while another fights.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about One More Delve.

Do crystals respawn between dungeon runs?

Each dungeon run generates a fresh procedural layout with new crystals. Dungeons are not persistent between runs.

Are there rare crystals in higher dungeons?

Yes. Dungeon 3 and beyond contain rarer crystal types required for higher-tier crafting recipes. These are mandatory for endgame gear upgrades.

Should I mine everything or focus on combat?

Early game, mine everything. Crystal scarcity is the primary progression limiter. Once you have a comfortable material stockpile, you can focus more on combat.
